Battery power is increasingly important for industrial equipment as we move towards zero emission targets.
Many of our existing customers are now developing solutions to run their industrial equipment from stored energy rather than a diesel engine. We’re ready to help customers make the switch from diesel to battery power … the benefits are clear to see!
We’ve helped customers by re-designing their enclosures to suit electric-driven technology and battery storage rather than diesel powered equipment. Although these enclosures look the same from the outside they are very different on the inside. Using stored energy is the future, are you ready?!
Industrial equipment that requires portability and mobility, such as pumps, lighting towers and compressors, can benefit from stored battery power. This eliminates the need for a diesel engine or a constant power source, such as an electrical outlet. It allows equipment to operate in remote locations or areas where electricity is not readily available.
Battery-powered industrial equipment can be more energy-efficient than equipment powered by traditional fossil fuels. This is because battery-powered equipment does not require combustion, which results in lower emissions and reduces the overall environmental impact. Equipment running on battery power can also slow right down to run using very low amounts of power, which diesel-powered equipment can’t do.
The cost of battery technology has decreased significantly in recent years, making it more affordable for industrial equipment. Additionally, battery-powered equipment can result in cost savings over time, as it eliminates the need for fuel and reduces maintenance costs.
Battery power is a more sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels. By using battery-powered industrial equipment, companies can reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future.
The UK government has set a target to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, which includes emissions from non-road diesel engines. So it’s not a question of ‘if’ you’ll be moving to battery power, it’s a question of when!
